leadership is not a title;leadership is influence.
the above statement is not by a great man.but it is something that i learn yesterday while i was sharing to Kai'en abt being a leader.Indeed a leader is not juz someone who puts on a title and start asking people to accomplish tasks and delegate roles.a leader models and sets examples for people to follow.the greatest kind of leadership is leadership via influence,its when people see how you do certain things and model after you, or when people catches your spirit in doing certain things and are caught in the similar passion.leaders pay a high price too,by leading credible lives and living by integrity.in all that i have spoken,i am juz mentioning about secular leaders, i have yet to touch on being CHRISTIAN leaders.
there are manay consequences to things we do around us.things that we say and we do influences and affects people.Sometimes, it has immediate effects, sometimes, it has long term effects.what i am saying here is not all negative but of coz i am talking abt positive effects too.so as leaders of God's flocks, let's live our lifes carefully as not to stumble people and rethink about certain things that we do.not that whether its a "right" or "wrong" issue, but its more of whether we can do other things that is more beneficial compared to the way that we choose to do certain things. this post may sound very sophiscated, you can approach me for more info if you need clarification.
to end off with something lighter, today i went to CCK to meet ting's girls.what they decided to do was to have a sharing christ session to kick start the whole 2 weeks of evangelism momentum.so i join in also, but i went alone and i din share christ. what i did was to take some invitation cards to invite the people for the I.F services. managed to get 2 contacts today.am happy!when i was inviting the first contact,something weird happened.i was like getting the contact's phone no. and a lady walked towards us and i was wondering who is it and guess what?she was the person's mum..and i thot "gosh, its like what will the mum think,a 20-yrs plus guy approaching my son?" so i quickly smiled at the mum and ended off the conversation by saying to the contact "i will sms you soon"...and i turned and left.SO SCARY...but nonetheless, i managed to get his contact no. today's experiences reminded me that what our people are doing out there are never easy,so harvesters of the West Land, i applaud you for what you are doing for God and God will honour you...i am serious!
People, i can never emphasize enough..these 2 weeks are very important to us in this CG08 period.let's really give our all ok?it will never be in vain if we are doing it for God....
